LONDON (AFX) - National Air Traffic Services said it has re-submitted the UK's proposed unit rate for en-route air traffic control services in 2005, cutting it to 56.29 stg from 56.35 stg.
In a statement, it said the move was made following a revision to the combined component of the charge added by the Department for Transport (DfT) and Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The current unit rate for 2004 is 57.94 stg.
The NATS element of the National Unit Rate, at 48.47 stg per Chargeable Service Unit (CSU) for 2005, remains unchanged.
However, since the original filing was made, the combined DfT/CAA component has reduced from 7.88 stg to 7.82 stg, it said.
Subject to ratification by the Member States of EUROCONTROL, the charge will come into effect on Jan 1 next year, the statement added.
